Fox's Judge Napolitano, who I have long argued should be on CNN or MSNBC, is making the case that Trump should authorize an FBI investigation into Kavanaugh's alledged sexual assault 36 years ago...as the interviewer Dan Perino nods her head in complete agreement.
Napolitano contends that the investigation would take a couple of weeks...that the FBI could do it as an extended character check on the six previous FBI investigations done on Kavanaugh. The FBI should interview the victim, her husband (he was in couple's therapy with her when she remembered the assault), her therapist, Kavanaugh, and the man the "victim" claims was also in the room...which he denies.
If they don't cancel the hearing on Monday and conduct the FBI investigation, Napolitano contends there will be a dark shadow over Kavanaugh's head for the rest of his life.
No wonder Napolitano no longer practices law, presides over a court....the man is clueless and the Democrats should hire him, because he has their talking points down.
Imagine we follow the Napolitano FBI investigation plan and let's assume they find that there is "no there there." It is a matter of "he says", "she says", the statute of limitations has expired, and they can't reach a conclusion if the woman's or Kavanaugh's account is the truth.
That puts us exactly where we are now, with the Democrats delaying the vote for at least another 2 weeks while they smear Kavanaugh from here to eternity.
The Democrats will abandon their new found love for the FBI (after all the FBI did everything they could to elect Hillary) and suddenly the FBI will be Trump's corrupt FBI who covered up frat boy Kavanaugh's history as a deviate.
If they exonorate Kavanaugh, it won't matter. The Democrats will stil demand a full hearing. Mobs will gather on the Kavanaugh family home and badger his wife and children. If the victim still refuses to show up ("she was further damaged by the thugs in Trump's FBI and is too distraught to be in the same room with her sexual assailant and his male enablers"), Cory Booker will "Spartacus" himself all over Kavanaugh; the Senator from Hawaii will call him a liar (all men are in her book....and should just "shut up, and zip up"); Kamela Harris will demand that Kavanaugh confess so that his victim can "heal and get on with her life that he destroyed". Rent a mob protesters will interrupt the proceedings calling Kavanaugh a pervert, another Republican Roy Moore, and far worse. It will be a complete circus...which the Democrats will blame on Kavanaugh while demanding that Trump withdraw his nomination. In other words it will be a circus and another Anita Hill moment on steroids.
Napolitano's plan to "save Kavanaugh's integrity" will backfire and play right into the Democrat's timeline to delay the vote until after the election in the hope they get enough votes in the Senate to make sure no Trump appointee will ever have the votes necessary to be approved.
Dana Perino may like the idea of an FBI investigation, but she isn't exactly a fan of our president. You would think she would be a better friend to Kavanaugh. She claims "he is a good friend" and finds it hard to believe any of these accusations are true. Maybe when you see the world through Swamp colored glasses, like Napolitano and Perino, a 7th FBI investigation into Kavanaugh's character makes good sense, but if the Republicans buy into this plan, the Swamp is running the show and when that happens, America is always the victim.
